Lesson 3

Potential Dangers of Social Media

You’re nearing the end of your studies. Good work! This is your final lesson. I am your third and last Ninja Instructor, Dean. In my class, you will learn how to stay safe in the digital wilderness. Let’s hop to it!
Advertisements can be a big issue in some websites. If they are activated, normally by a mouse click, they can release horrible viruses into your computer, potentially killing it.
As talked about in Lesson 2, passwords should be long and complex. Put them in a physical journal if you can’t remember them. And never share them with anyone you don’t trust, not even your friends and family. You never know what they’ll do with that information.
Next, let’s talk about the wonderful world of web searches. When you search up a term on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or whatever web browser you use, the browser will look through the entire Internet to find it. If you click the wrong link out of the browser, it may send you to a website that can contain dangerous or mature content that may frighten and/or scar younger viewers.
